Yoga Baum: A Place to Belong in Louisville

In a fast-paced world where disconnection often feels like the norm, Yoga Baum offers something different: a sense of belonging. Nestled in the heart of St. Matthews, Louisville, our studio is more than a place to move your body—it’s a place to land, to connect, and to feel truly seen.

From group classes to cozy book circles, international retreats to moon meetings, Yoga Baum was built on the belief that community matters. Here, yoga isn’t just about what happens on the mat. It’s about who we become when we practice together.

Rooted in Community, Grown With Intention

Walk through our front door and you’ll find more than yoga mats and studio rooms. You’ll find the hum of conversation around the tea hutch, a coffee nook tucked inside a walk-in closet in our Forest Room, and students who linger to chat after class.

Our three muraled studio spaces—The Forest Room, The Desert Room, and The Moon Room—were hand-painted by local artist Allison Whitehouse, and they reflect what we value: beauty, care, and individuality.

We’re proud to be locally owned and rooted in Louisville. And we’re even prouder of the relationships that take root here.

On the Mat: Movement That Connects

Yes, we offer group classes, private yoga, and live-streamed sessions. But what makes these experiences special is the way they center human connection.

Instructors learn your name. Regulars smile when you walk in. Even in our virtual classes, teachers offer real-time feedback and acknowledgment. Whether you’re building strength or resting in savasana, you’re not just another student—you’re part of a community.

Beyond the Asana: Shared Rituals and Meaningful Gatherings

Connection at Yoga Baum doesn’t end with the final pose. Some of our most cherished moments happen outside of class.

Moon Meetings: Held on or near the full or new moon, these gatherings combine meditation, journaling, crafting, tarot, and astrology. It’s part ritual, part community circle and entirely welcoming.

Book Baum: Our monthly book club is a cozy evening of conversation, blankets, bolsters, and snacks. No yoga experience needed—just a love of good books and thoughtful company.

Trainings and Workshops: Whether you're deepening your practice or learning to teach, our trainings are rooted in curiosity and connection. Many lifelong friendships start here.

Together, Elsewhere: Retreats That Create Lasting Bonds

From the jungles of Costa Rica to the mountains of Montana, our retreats are more than scenic escapes. They’re about sharing meals, laughter, and presence. Whether it’s hiking to waterfalls, sitting in meditation, or sipping coffee on a porch together, each trip offers a new way to connect both with the world, and each other.

The Power of Being Seen

Even when you’re not in the studio, you’re never just a name on a screen. Our livestream classes are interactive and personal. Instructors offer live support, cues, and check-ins to make sure you feel part of the class, wherever you are.

Come See for Yourself

Yoga Baum is more than a yoga studio. It’s a place to grow roots, explore inward, and connect outward. Whether you’re visiting for a class, a Moon Meeting, Book Baum, or sharing tea and conversation before or after class, you are welcome here.
