All sorts, but more specifically we choose books that we enjoy or think we will enjoy or books we think will spur an interesting discussion. You can expect a variety of genres, but our facilitators’ preferences will show in their selections :)
What else should I know?
Since we will be discussing the book in depth, you can expect spoilers. You are welcome to attend and participate in the discussion—and you will not be shamed—if you do not finish the book in time. Come participate in the discussion and enjoy the community! We schedule Book Baum right after a regularly scheduled class so you also have the option of doing yoga and then sticking around for Book Baum. We will link to where you can purchase books locally so you can support Louisville’s indie bookstores! You can also check out the books from the library :) Yoga Baum members receive a discount on Book Baum—email us for your member discount code! We encourage you to read the book jacket description and to look up the trigger warnings for the selections before you decide to read them <3
