Pranayama is more than breathing exercises. It is an active and deeply intentional practice that works with prana, or life force energy, to influence both body and mind.

In this immersive workshop, we’ll explore pranayama as a bridge between breathing and meditation: a practice that can energize, calm, focus, or restore depending on how it is applied. Participants will learn how different breathing techniques shape nervous system response, attention, and energetic experience, supporting vitality, relaxation, and mental clarity.

Together, we’ll explore a range of traditional and modern pranayama practices designed to cultivate physical and mental health, improve focus, and deepen self-awareness. Emphasis will be placed on experiential learning, feeling how breath practices shift energy, rather than simply understanding them conceptually.

Through discussion, guided practice, rest, and reflection, participants will leave a clearer understanding of breath as a powerful tool for regulation, vitality, and presence.

This workshop is for students and teachers who are seeking to deepen their knowledge and practice. This workshop can be used as continuing education, and also counts towards Yoga Baum’s 300-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.
