Mexican Gothic by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
led by Megh Zahrndt
We love a good house book, and Silvia Moreno-Garcia delivers one of the best in this creepy tale where a glamorous young socialite finds herself trapped in a house that seems to have its own plans. Mexican Gothic is atmospheric, strange, and horrifying in all the best ways. If you are buying this selection locally, consider supporting Carmichael’s or Butcher Cabin Books.

The Someday Garden by Ashley Poston

A tender and magical story about love, loss, and what might grow when you give yourself a chance to begin again. This book is so cozy and heartfelt, and we think it’s perfect for late fall. If you are buying this selection locally, consider supporting Carmichael’s or A Novel Romance.
